2010 Black Bear Pictures

Welcome to our 2010 black bear pictures. We got our first black bear pictures in the summer of 2007 and we got pictures off an on until May 2008. Before they left they caused some damage, knocking over our feeders and tearing up some honey bee boxes. After we put our feeders away and the bee keeper put an electric fence around his bees the bear left our property.

The black bear showed up again this week on Saturday night. We got pictures of him at both the mineral lick and at the feeder. The best pictures are from the mineral lick where the bear stole the inner tube off of the camera and chewed on it for a while. In the last two pictures you can see him chewing on it and then carrying it in the last picture. I found the inner tube lying in the food plot.

A couple of months ago I heard that a black bear was seen a couple of ridges over, but we didn't expect to see him.

The evening of November 22, the first day of deer season, a black bear wandered under one of our feeders.

A couple of days later, on Thanksgiving evening, he showed up again but this time at the other feeder.

One night later he showed up again back at the feeder he visited early in the week.
