April 23rd Whitetail Deer Photos

Unfortunately we're still waiting for the bucks antlers to grow enough to get excited about but we did get another bobcat picture this week. Make sure you check out the bobcat pictures page, it's an interesting one.

It looks like some of the deer are starting to lose their winter coats. Many of them look real rough with patches of hair missing and discolored. Our large temperature variations that we've been experiencing may have them confused.

With the spring green-up we've started putting our digital trail cameras at some of our food plots and mineral licks so we may see some different activity the next time around. The feeders are always a good place to see and photograph deer but we have also captured some real interesting pictures at our food plots and mineral licks in the past.

These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam, EagleEye and Camtrakker Digital Ranger.

Whitetail buck

Here is one of our bucks. His antlers look like they're ready to bust out any day.

Curious deer

We get a lot of pictures like this one where the deer are standing and looking as though they hear something. Sometimes I think it is the sound of the camera and sometimes we just catch them looking for danger.

Two bucks

It looks like the closest buck is the same buck from the previous picture and the second one looks like he's our biggest trophy with antlers approaching two inches.

Deer fight

I'm not sure if we had another altercation at this feeder or if this deer got it's chin stuck on the cross bar.

turkey gobbler

Here is a nice picture showing the coloration of this turkey gobbler.

Bird in flight

We get quite a few pictures of birds on the ground and every once in a while we catch one in flight.
