April 29th Whitetail Deer Pictures

This album of Whitetail Deer Pictures contains digital scouting camera pictures taken in the weeks before April 29, 2005. For that past two weeks we had all three of our digital scouting cameras out. We put the EagleEye on duty at one of our food plots to see what would walk through the PlotSaver where it took 25 pictures. The Leaf River and the Bushnell were both at our feeders and took 281 pictures between the two of them. The turkeys are still strutting and the bucks are starting to get noticeable nubs on their heads. The raccoons are also getting to be regular visitors at the feeders. One picture shows six raccoons at one time. This week I've started putting the name of the digital scouting camera that took the picture.

Deer in the snow

On April 24th we got three inches of snow. Snow is not what we are looking for this late in April but it was pretty. You can see how the heavy snow bent the tree limbs.

Strutting Gobblers

This is a good picture of three strutting gobblers. You can see one in the background strutting inside of the PlotSaver which is supposed to keep deer out of the food plot.

A climbing raccoon

This is a neat picture of a raccoon climbing up our feeder. He's only using one foot to hang on good. These animals are amazing, although I would rather they let us decide how much corn comes out of the feeder.

Whitetail Doe up close

I liked this close picture of a whitetail doe looking right at the camera. Notice how her ears must have been swivelling.

Bucks growing antlers

You an see the antlers starting to grow on these two bucks. We think one of them may be our buddy, double white throat patch. It's starting to get interesting.

Six raccoons

This must be a family reunion. We thought that we had a lot of raccoons around when we saw four, now we have six.
