August 10th Whitetail Deer Photos

Now that the first week of August has come and gone I think we have seen about all of the antler growth that we are going to see on our bucks. Although I don't think we have any record book bucks we do have a couple that could speed up your heart if they show up under your stand. I'm still anxious to see just how the sticker points show up on the nine point once his velvet it shed. He could be a real neat buck if they all stay intact.

We saw four of these bucks on Friday night. Two of them had a small fight using their front hooves as my nephew and I were watching through binoculars. They put on a nice show for us. We then walked to one of our feeders and saw two more bucks there including the wide nine point buck we've been getting pictures of.

The black bear showed up again and we got six pictures of him. I think we now have enough to make a black bear pictures page. Stay tuned for that one.

These pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2040, Camtrakker Digital Ranger and Woodland SpyCam.

Nine and seven point bucks
Here is three bucks with one picture, including the nine point that has sticker points, the high racked seven point and a young five point buck.

Six point whitetail buck
This is a nice close picture of a six point buck.

Seven Point buck
Here is a seven point buck that doesn't have a very wide spread. There is also a wide racked seven point in this same area but we didn't get a picture good enough to post this week.

Eight point buck
This is a small eight point buck that has curvy tines. It reminds me of an eight point buck Ryan shot three years ago.

Wide nine point buck
THis is the wide nine point, a small ten point and I think the third buck is the nine point with sticker points.

Ten point buck
The small ten point buck. If he makes it until next year I think he'll be a dandy. Notice the bent bars on the deer feeder. This was courtesy of our visiting black bear.
