August 17th Whitetail Deer Photos

For the first week in a while now we didn't get pictures of any bobcats, coyotes or black bears, but we did get all of our regular bucks plus we may have picked up a picture of an eight point buck that we hadn't previously seen.

We put together a five gallon bucket feeder that we call our exploration feeder. We like to move it around to different areas of our property and see if any different bucks show up. This week we put it right in the middle of our hayfield and got a lot of pictures but they were all our regular bucks. The good thing was that we got some real nice pictures at this location. We have now moved this feeder to an area of our property that we don't normally monitor with digital trail cameras so we're excited to see what shows up.

Now that we have past the middle of August I think the bucks have about all of their antler growth so we're waiting to see what they looked like once the velvet is shed.

These pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2040, Camtrakker Digital Ranger, Cuddeback Expert and Woodland SpyCam.

Wide nine point whitetail buck
This is our widest buck this year and he looks like he is going to end up as a nine point.

Nine point buck
I'm real anxious to see how many of those sticker points survive after velvet shedding and how long they'll be.

Seven point buck
This buck may have real nice high antlers if he can make it through this season into next year.

Eight point whitetail buck
This buck looks like an eight point buck that I don't think we have seen before.

Ten point buck
Our ten point buck. We though for a while that we may have two ten point bucks but we think this may be the only one.
