August 4th Whitetail Deer PhotographsWe have finally solved the puzzle of the buck with the funny left ear. A sharp eyed hunter e-mailed us and told us that this buck was the seven point that visited our cameras last fall and winter. I had looked back through the pictures and couldn't figure it out but after he e-mailed us we looked again and said oh yea, that's the same buck. We finally found the deer with growths on it again. It turns out that it probably hadn't gone anywhere, the growths just shrunk and changed to a color similar to the color of deer hair. We're seeing most of the bucks in the same place which would make hunting easy, but we would like to see more bucks in each of the areas we have our cameras. We're getting a lot of traffic in some of our other plots but they are mostly does. It will be interesting to see how this goes as we progress towards fall and the food plots mature. These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam, Trail Watcher 2060 and a Stealth Cam WD3.
From other pictures we discovered that this buck is a seven point. The black spot is from a raccoon that climbed over the camera. 
This is a picture at a mineral lick. Why this deer got mud so far up on it's face I'll never know. 
This is the deer that we saw earlier in the spring with growths on it's face and body. The growths have shrunk some and are no longer black and he has a short set of antlers. 
Here is the best buck that we have been getting pictures of. It turns out this buck is the seven point that we kept seeing last fall and winter. 
This is a tall racked eight point. He returned after not being seen the week before.
