December 17th Whitetail Deer Pictures

This album of Whitetail Deer Pictures contains digital scouting camera pictures taken the week before December 17, 2005.

Our latest group of pictures contained one newcomer, a nine point buck that we had not seen before. It's been real interesting the last couple of years seeing bucks show up after buck season has ended. This nine point isn't a monster whitetail but hopefully he'll stick around for next year.

It was interesting that we got two pictures of bucks fighting. I would have thought that by this time of the year most of this aggression would be gone.

We also saw a buck that had already shed its antlers while we were hunting on Saturday evening. From now on we'll be watching for more antlerless bucks.

These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam and a Penn's Woods Digital Scout.

Spike Buck

Here's one of our regulars. He may be the buck that shed his antlers already. It's also interesting how the snow lays on their backs.

Nine point whitetail

This is our new nine point buck. He isn't real wide but could be a real bruiser next year. His neck size looks pretty good in this picture.

9 Point Buck

This is another view of the nine point buck. When we first saw the pictures we thought that we had two new bucks but later realized that it was the same one.

Seven point buck

We've been seeing this seven point buck all fall. We'd like to see him stick around and grow up some more.

Fighting Whitetail Bucks

This is one of the pictures we got of bucks fighting. These two are the seven point from the previous picture and the six point from the next picture.

Six point buck

Here is the six point buck. Another buck we'd like to see grow up some more over the next year.
