December 7th Whitetail Deer Photos

Buck season has come and gone and so has doe season so we are reasonably confident that the bucks that we see from here on out will still be around for another year. We usually see a new buck or two after the season has ended and we did see a couple of bucks that we couldn't identify. Unfortunately they weren't monster bucks, at least not yet.

I'm a little dissapointed with the number of bucks that did not survive the season but there isn't much we can do about that.

This week is muzzleloader season and bow season still runs through the end of the year but we generally don't see bucks dissapear this time of the year.

The next thing we'll be looking for is antler shedding. I've found sheds in muzzleloader season in the past so we'll start looking around this weekend and from here on out.

Our cameras are still out and we're monitoring a couple of different places so we're still hoping to get pictures of some of our former regulars or some other new bucks.

These pictures were taken with our Camtrakker Digital Ranger and Trail Watcher 2060.

Buck fight
Here is a fight between the nine point and the eight point. We got three sets of pictures of these two bucks fighting at this feeder.

Eight point buck
This is the eight point buck. We have high expectations for him next year.

Nine point buck
The nine point buck with sticker points.

Six point buck
The six point buck that has good potential for a nice high rack next year.

Non-typical eight point buck
This is the non-typical eight point buck. We're anxious to see what he looks like next year as well.

Seven point buck
We're not sure exactly what this buck is. He looks a little like the high racked seven point we had this year but we're not completely convinced.
