February 17th Whitetail Deer Photographs

This album of Whitetail Deer Photographs contains digital scouting camera pictures taken the weeks before February 17, 2006.

We are right in the dead of winter now but hopefully spring is just around the corner. Although we still have pictures of one antlered buck we should soon be seeing their antlers starting to grow again soon.

After seeing our first bobcat in the last set of pictures we were hoping to catch another on the prowl or perhaps a coyote but not this time. I'm wondering if maybe they skirt around the feeders for some reason. Maybe we'll put a camera in another location to try to catch one on our next visit.

These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam and a Stealth Cam WD3, Cuddeback Trail Camera, and EagleEye Trail Camera.

whitetail deer in snow

I thought that this was a neat picture of a deer taken while the snow was falling. You can see that it has its hair fluffed up for insulation.

seven point buck

This is our favorite seven point buck at the feeder where we have seen him the most over the past few months. You can see that he is starting to lose his body size. I would imagine that he will soon lose his antlers, we'll wait and see.

Here is a little snow on the nose.

7 point whitetail buck

Again, our favorite seven point buck. He is still traveling a good bit.

close up whitetail

These deer are moving through an area where we had our bucket feeder over a month ago. I noticed that deer were still moving through this area and put the camera there to see what walked by.

seven point whitetail buck

Again, the seven point buck now at the other feeder. Our last picture of him was on February 13th. We are not sure if he shed his antlers, the next batch of pictures should tell the tale.
