February 7th Deer Pictures

One more antler showed up on a neighboring hayfield and we got pictures of half of an eight point this time. We think the half eight point is the close racked eight point. We didn't get any more pictures of this buck after seeing the one antlered buck so we're pretty confident in the identification. You can take a look at the pictures below and see if you agree.

We also got pictures of other bucks that have lost their antlers but we don't know which ones they are, we just know which ones still have their antlers. We're having trouble getting them to wear their name tags.

The black bear showed up again on the evening of February 6th. I showed up to get the pictures on the morning of the 7th. We just keep missing each other. I'm sure the bear is dissapointed.

If this year is like the last couple of years the bucks should all be losing their antlers within the next month, so I'm going to enjoy the pictures of antlered bucks as long as I can.

These pictures were taken with our Camtrakker Digital Ranger, Woodland SpyCam and Trail Watcher 2035.

Eight point buck
Here are the two biggest bucks we have left after the seasons have closed.

Non-Typical eight point buck
The non-typical eight point buck. I'm hoping he sticks around so we can see what he looks like next year.

Fighting whitetail bucks
The antlers on these two young bucks must still be firmly attached.

Nine point buck
The lone remaining nine point buck.

Three whitetail bucks
Three bucks at our feeding trough. The eight point buck soon lost at least one antler two days later.

Shed antler eight point buck
Here is the eight point with only one antler. I think he lost this antler a short time later since we didn't get many pictures of him with one antler.
