July 28th Whitetail Deer Photographs

We had our digital game cameras out for a week and had as many as twelve cameras out. We had some vacation time and had a chance to do some game camera testing.

The hayfields that border some of our food plots were mowed during this time and it looks like this had some effect on the deer activity near those plots. Hopefully the action will pick back up now that the hay is up.

We had been getting pictures of five eight point bucks but failed to capture one this week. One buck has turned into a nine point and the others did not show up in any of our pictures. You never know what each week is going to bring.

We've included five different buck pictures this week. Most of them aren't true trophies but it's good seeing them around.

These pictures were taken with our EagleEye, homemade WhitetailCam, Trail Watcher 2060, Wildview Xtreme II and a Trail Watcher 2040.

Four point buck

This is a young four point buck, I hope he's getting a good helping of the clover he's walking through.

Six point buck

This is small racked six point caught at one of our mineral licks.

Spike Buck

Here is a spike buck with two different length spikes and they also seem to be pointing in two different directions.

Leaning whitetail doe

It looks like this doe is ready to fall over. Our hunting property is quite hilly but I didn't think the deer had to lean this hard into the hillsides to stand up.

Three point buck

Looking real close at this buck showed that he is a three point. Not far from a real trophy.

Nine point buck

This buck has developed a ninth point. I've looked at the bucks that we had around last year and can't find one that has a funny left ear similar to this buck.
