June 30th Whitetail Deer Photographs
This week we had eleven digital game cameras out but didn't get a wealth of pictures and had a couple of cameras in poorly chosen locations. Sometimes I think I know exactly the right place to put a camera and then find out that it was better where I had it the week before. That's how it goes sometime. It looks like the bucks are starting to distinguish themselves from each other. We didn't see the buck with the sticker point this week but we did see a couple of eight point and a six point buck. Hopefully they'll continue to grow. We are still getting pictures of spotted fawns including a couple of sets of twins even though we didn't include any of the twins here. The pictures with twins were not of good enough quality to make the cut. The game cameras monitoring our food plots have given us a lot of information about how much the plots are being used. It's real nice to see how much our plots are being used, or not being used. We also put a camera at one of our mineral licks and got 109 pictures. These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam, Moultrie Gamespy 200, Homemade WhitetailCam and Wildview game scouting camera.
Here is our spotted fawn for this week.
This looks like an 8 point buck that we caught urinating. You would have thought that the camera would have waited.
Here is a doe with a mouthful of our food plot goodies.
This is a nice looking six point at one of our mineral licks.
A long spike at still licking the minerals off of his nose.
An eight point at the mineral lick.
