March 14th Deer Photos

Here we are in late winter and all of the bucks are bald. It makes picking out pictures for this page a little more difficult, but we still have some interesting ones for you.

I had one camera that did not operate this week and two others that got smudges on their lenses which reduced the pictures we had to choose from. These things are just all a part of putting cameras out in the woods so we accept them and move on. Raccoons are famous for smudging our lenses and they have been regular visitors the past few weeks. I'm pretty sure I know what happened to the camera that didn't operate last week so we should see pictures from it next week.

We didn't get any bobcat or coyote pictures this time, but we'll keep looking.

These pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2060, StalkerCam, EagleEye and Woodland SpyCam.

Deer with swollen mouth
We got three pictures of this deer. It looks like its mouth is swelled. I'll keep looking for this deer in the coming weeks. The deer looks like it has had better days. EagleEye

Sleeping Deer
These deer didn't go far from the feeding trough to take a nap. Woodland SpyCam

Deer running from corn
It looks like this deer is running from the feeder as it's spinning corn out. I've seen deer run from the feeder and I've seen deer stand there and let corn fall on their backs. StalkerCam

Deer with leaf on its nose
Sometimes a deer will get something to eat and a lousy leaf sticks to their nose. StalkerCam

Animal feeding time
Dr. Seuss would be proud. StalkerCam

Flash Spook
Notice this deer is looking up at the feeder while the camera behind it takes a flash picture. The deer probably heard the camera shutter open and thought, or maybe hoped, that it was the feeder. Trail Watcher 2060
