May 12th Whitetail Deer Photographs

This past week we had all but two of our digital scouting cameras at our food plots. We had little traffic through the plots except for one. One camera took over 400 pictures in three days on a 10 second delay in one food plot. We did have some corn in a feeder about 50 yards below the location of this camera to test one of our newest cameras and it was also positioned next to a mineral lick.

The buck's antlers are starting to show more growth and we did get two pictures of a young deer that had growths on its face and one leg. One picture is included below.

We did get pictures of a couple of rabbits and a standing groundhog this week but none of their pictures made the cut this time.

These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam and an EagleEye digital trail camera.

Curious whitetail buck

This curious buck was caught walking through one of our newly planted food plots.

Young whitetail buck

This looks like a young buck with velvet covered antlers.

Licking whitetail buck

Notice this bucks antlers are dark and have less velvet on them.

Fighting buck

I got a "kick" out of this picture. The buck looks like he is real mad while one deer doesn't seem to be paying any attention and the other one is just looking at him.

Whitetail buck with growths

This young deer has some type of growths on his head and one leg. This is the first time we've seen this deer. We'll be looking for him to see how these growths affect him. We have found a website that describes these growths.

Whitetail Buck

This bucks antlers look like they are starting to split. It's starting to get interesting.
