May 13th Whitetail Deer PicturesThis album of Whitetail Deer Pictures contains digital scouting camera pictures taken in the weeks before May 13, 2005. For the first time in a while we didn't have any snow in this two week period. It's about time. We had one of our cameras on one of our food plots this time and this proved to give us some interesting pictures. This camera captured 189 pictures in two weeks in this clover plot. The bucks are now growing their antlers and they were evident in several of the pictures. The largest so far looks like the fuzzy antlers are at least 6 inches long and starting to fork. It's going to get exciting now. Everything is turning a nice green again and is real pretty when compared to the stark browns and grays from the winter months. We had a total of over 250 pictures in this two week span. The bushnell is having some troubles but it did manage to give us a nice picture of a rabbit at night. It shouldn't be long before we start seeing spotted fawns. Now that we have velvet antlered bucks we'll be looking for the fawns. I'm sure we'll get some real good pictures of them before long. 
This is a neat picture of a deer in midair. We don't usually get these types of pictures at our feeders but this deer is on the run through our clover plot. All hunters should recongnize a deer in high gear. 
These are two of the bucks that we got pictures of, the antlers of the closest buck are starting to fork. There is also one of our raccoon buddies coming in for a snack. We've had to make our own bigger varmint guards to try to keep them out. 
This is a real nice picture of a strutting gobbler right in the middle of our clover plot. 
The last two sets of pictures were the first times that we have gotten pictures of rabbits. This one is near one of our feeders. The rabbit is sitting right in the middle of a mineral lick. 
These two bucks are getting a good start on their antlers. Maybe I will be able to start identifying some of them soon. I believe the third deer in this group is a buck as well.(Not the crow.)
