May 24th Deer Pictures
When I took our feeders down last week I spilled some corn on the ground under the feeder. Later that evening the black bear showed up to eat and stayed for 48 pictures over a ten minute period. Take a look at our black bear pictures page and stay tuned to see if he sticks around. The bucks' antlers have continued to grow, but not at a fast rate yet. It seems that in the past their antlers take off later in June and July. We'll keep watching. We noticed that the deer have now started to use the food plots much more over the last week. I think that once the hayfields grow taller the deer move to the food plots. It is my theory that the deer do not like to have vegetation blocking their eyesight while they eat, so when the hayfields grow too high they move to the food plots. I may start using one of our small feeders again and see if the black bear knocks it over again. These pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2035, Trail Watcher 2060, Woodland SpyCam and Camtrakker Digital Ranger.
