October 7th Whitetail Deer Photos
We didn't find any new bucks this week but we still captured some interesting pictures. The sequence of a buck sleeping at one of our feeders is one of the best sequences of pictures we have taken over the past three years. We didn't get any pictures of a couple of bucks that we have seen the last few weeks so we've moved our bucket feeder to a location where we think we can once again get them on camera. We were moving this feeder around to see what was out there and we think we have finally found a location to leave this feeder that will provide us a look at a couple of bucks that do not regularly show up at our other camera locations. We'll see next week if we've pinned it down. Our cameras captured a few bucks fighing again, but it still doesn't look like they are real serious. None of the fights lasted very long. The camera at the scrape got pictures of three different bucks but none of them were good enough to make this page. These bucks included two small bucks and the nine point with sticker points. We've left a camera at this scrape to keep monitoring the activity there. We also put one of our cameras at a feeder where it could also see a rub in the background, but we didn't get any pictures of bucks at this rub. Deer have started to eat the sorghum in one of our food plots so it will be interesting to see the pictures at this location over the next week. These pictures were taken with our Trail Watcher 2040, Trail Watcher 2035 and Camtrakker Digital Ranger.
This is an eight point buck that we've seen form time to time over the last couple of months.
This is the seven point buck that has some width but only one small brow tine.
This four point buck slept at this location for an hour.
A small seven point buck visting the mineral lick.
The nine point buck with sticker points along with a couple of turkeys.
Another good picture of the wide nine point buck again this week.
The tall racked seven point buck only visited this feeder a couple of times this week.
