September 13th Whitetail Deer Photos

We're now at a point where about half of the bucks that we got pictures of have shed their velvet. I would say that in another week most of them will have shed. The nine point buck that has sticker points hasn't shed yet but you can see some loose velvet in some of the pictures so I expect it to be gone next week.

By moving a small bucket feeder around our property we seem to be catching some bucks on the fringe of their territory that we don't see at our main feeders or other food plots. It's amazing how a food plot or feeder can be close to some of these bucks but we don't see them until we put a feeder closer to them. It's been fun moving that feeder around and seeing what we get each week.

We still haven't gotten a picture of a buck whose shed we found last year. That's an interesting one. Sometimes these bucks are very hard to figure out.

Once again we didn't get any bobcat, coyote or black bear pictures. We'll keep looking.

These pictures were taken with our EagleEye, Trail Watcher 2040 and Woodland SpyCam.

Eight Point Buck
This is a young eight point buck that first showed up within the last month on the fringe of our property.

Seven Point Buck
Here is the seven point buck shortly after he shed his velvet. You can see how red his antlers are.

Nine point buck in velvet
Here is the nine point buck still in velvet but you can see it starting to loosen up on the right antler tines.

Ten point whitetail buck
The ten point buck. Sometimes this buck looks bigger depending on the picture.

Nine point buck
This is the wide nine point buck. I was hoping this buck would have a little more mass, but he is wide.

Whitetail buck and fawn
Here is a six point buck in velvet and a fawn. Do you think the fawn was questioning the bucks authority?
