September 16 Whitetail Photos
I don't think we still have any bucks still in velvet. We got pictures of the one eyed eight point with velvet and he shed quickly over one day. Another small buck kept his velvet late into the week, but we finally saw him without velvet late in the week.We have pictures of seven decent bucks, seven points or more. We've also figured out which buck is the big nine from last year that we had been looking for. It turns out he's a nine point again with a sticker point. We're having a hard time deciding whether or not he's bigger than last year. Right now there's a little dissapointment, but he's still a pretty neat looking buck. Even though we've seen them all in pictures it's always nice to see them live, that's when you truly know what you have. Our bow season opens on October 1, maybe we'll get to see a couple of them. This week I put two cameras at two prospective scrapes. I'm looking forward to seeing what shows up and monitoring more scrapes over the coming weeks. We got three new black bear pictures this week, make sure you check out the black bear pictures page. We didn't get any bobcats or coyotes, but the neighbors said they've been hearing coyotes so maybe we catch one on camera next week. This weeks pictures were taken with our StalkerCam, Swamp Ghost SG-N60, Woodland SpyCam and Bigfoot SLE.
