September 30th Whitetail Deer PhotographsSaturday was youth squirrel hunting day here in West Virginia so Ryan and I went to our property for an evening squirrel hunt and collect a weeks worth of pictures. The weather has cooled off and the leaves are starting to change color so I expect that the bucks will start to fatten up. Our squirrel hunting revealed acorns dropping and plenty of deer tracks under the oak trees. We didn't catch any wandering bucks that haven't been regulars but one of our cameras in the busiest area took 331 pictures in only two and a half days and zapped its batteries. It's hard to tell what we missed over the next five days. These pictures were taken with our Woodland SpyCam, Moultrie Gamespy 200, Trail Watcher 2040, Penn's Woods Digital Scout and a Trail Watcher 2060.
This is the largest eight point buck we've been seeing this year. I'm anxious to see this buck in person, if only this would be easy. 
When we first saw this picture I thought that maybe this buck would run off after getting flashed so close, but he's still there for two more pictures. Maybe it took him this long to get his vision back. 
We caught this six point buck walking along the edge of one of our food plots. 
Here is one of our trophy spikes. He hadn't been out of velvet long as you can see by the red tint still on his antlers. 
This is a seven point buck that we have been seeing this year. When he was still in velvet he looked like he had a couple of sticker points on his bases. Now that the velvet is gone the stickers don't look very big.
